maltaholidayaccommodation.com is a web portal which lists and facilitates booking of self- catering holiday accommodation on the Mediterranean Maltese islands of Malta and Gozo, between such property owners and prospective renters. Kindly read our terms and conditions before you book any of the listed accommodation.

Accommodation type and description:

The type of property that is listed is that of self- catering holiday accommodation. Such properties are fully furnished and equipped and ready to move into. The properties include one/ two/ three bedroomed apartments and penthouses, traditional Maltese houses of character, converted farmhouses and villas. The accommodation that we offer suits a wide spectrum of budgets. All the properties have been inspected by us and we have endeavored to provide an accurate illustrated description of them as much as possible. Although we try to keep these descriptions up to date, we cannot be held responsible for any alterations made to such properties by their owners, which we were not advised of. Each property is described/illustrated in detail in their respective web page. The words property and accommodation are used interchangeably.

Our Services:

The services we provide regarding such accommodation, include an ongoing search for adequate and diverse self- catering holiday accommodation in the islands of Malta and Gozo. The properties that we deem as appropriate are subsequently listed and described in colorful detail within our website. Malta properties are listed on one web page and Gozo properties on another. The properties are listed in order of price range, starting with the cheaper ones at the top and on scrolling down the page, the prices increase. This facilitates easy access to choosing the required holiday accommodation according to one`s budget. Each property is described in full detail on their respective page. In order to check if a particular accommodation is available for a required specific rental period, one can either contact us by telephone or by filling in an enquiry form. We will subsequently check the availability of the relevant accommodation and let the potential renter know as soon as possible. If such accommodation is available and the renter would like to book it, all the necessary arrangements are made to secure such booking. If any specific requirements are needed we will let the property owner know.

Ownership and management:

We do not own nor manage any of the listed properties. We just facilitate the advertising of the property by its owner and the letting of such property to a prospective renter. Any problems/queries relating to the rented accommodation during or following your stay in Malta/Gozo should be taken up directly with the property owner. You will be given full contact details of the owner prior to your arrival. We only deal with reputable owners and if it is subsequently discovered that their property/service is not up to standard, then we will immediately remove them from our listing.

General property rules:

Smoking is allowed in some of the properties. Smoking policy is mentioned on each property web page.
Absolutely no pets are allowed unless by prior agreement.
No sub-letting or lending of the property is permissible under any circumstances.
Neither the property owner nor us are responsible for any potential noise or disturbance going on in the nearby area.
The property owner reserves the right to ask for a deposit against damages. This deposit will be refunded on the day of departure once the property and inventories are checked, and no damages or missing items are reported. Payment of this damages deposit is to be made on arrival. This amount is stipulated on each property web page.
The property owner has the right to issue the renter with a list of specific rules and regulations (written or verbal) pertaining to a particular property. The renter must follow these rules and regulations.

Payment:

We do not receive any payments. All payments are made directly to the property owners. In order to secure a booking, a deposit is required. This usually varies between 20% and 35% of the rental tariff and depends on the respective property owner. A deposit is non refundable for whatever reason. The required accommodation will not be held until the required deposit is made and cleared by the bank. The deposit is payable to the property owner. Methods of deposit payment vary amongst the different property owners. Therefore, payment of deposit details will be e-mailed to you as soon as we receive a confirmed booking from you. The deposited amount will be credited to the total payment due as listed in the rental tariff as per respective property. Any expenses/charges incurred in forwarding the deposit, will be paid by you. The balance due is either paid upon arrival or prior to arrival to the respective property owner. If a booking is made close to the rental period or the rental period is for a very short time, some property owners will require full payment of the rental tariff straight away. Any expenses that we incur as a result of our services will be paid to us by the property owner. You will only pay the rental tariff as displayed per property.

Cancellation and refunding:

If for whatever reason, you may need to cancel your accommodation booking, it is important to notify us as soon as possible. Every property owner has a different cancellation/refund policy. However, the closer to the rental period the cancellation is, the more difficult refunding of payment is. A deposit is non refundable. However, other non deposit payments made are either refundable or partially refundable, depending as already mentioned on the owner`s cancellation/refund policy. Any expenses incurred in refunding such monies will be borne by you. It is highly recommended that your travel insurance policy covers any eventuality for cancellation of your trip.

We shall not be responsible or accept any liability for any damages, loss or expenses incurred as a result of renting out any of the properties listed in this website. Prospective renters are required to provide for themselves all necessary insurance against personal injury, damage, theft, cancellation, delay, etc. The property owner reserves the right to check that this insurance is in place.
